New hand baggage scanners
Two new state-of-the-art hand baggage scanners have been installed in the new area dedicated to security checks. Set up in summer 2018, these allow passengers to leave laptops and liquids in their suitcase. A machine can now control twice as many passengers per hour as before (or a conventional machine). Geneva Airport is one of the first airports to use it.
